About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, 40-hour per week internship designed to provide a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. Over the course of the summer, you will work alongside a mentor to gain hands-on experience in retail management. You will be introduced to multiple areas of the store, with a focus on leading teams, identifying priorities, and delivering guest service.
What you'll do#
- Drive guest experience and impact the store's financial, team, and operational performance.
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve daily business priorities, including stocking shelves and building displays.
- Plan daily goals and organize plans within the building.
- Partner with leaders to provide feedback, coach team members, and address concerns.
- Participate in daily huddles and provide summaries of results and priorities.
- Review business reporting and guest insights to identify and follow up on opportunities.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and ethical culture while ensuring compliance with all safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and team-oriented thinking.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- A welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to access all areas of the building, climb ladders, and lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
