About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week summer internship designed to provide a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in store leadership. Throughout the program, you will work alongside a mentor to understand how retail operations function and how to manage a team effectively. This role focuses on developing your leadership skills while you contribute to store goals and guest service.
What you'll do#
- Lead and motivate team members to drive sales and merchandise products.
- Partner with store leaders to teach, coach, and train team members on performance.
- Support daily operations, including stocking shelves, building displays, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify and troubleshoot areas for improvement.
- Lead daily huddles and organize plans to meet store priorities.
- Engage with guests to solve their needs and provide an exceptional shopping experience.
- Participate in ongoing development conversations and training activities.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail store management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to think in a team-oriented way.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift or move merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Marketing, or Communications.
