About the role#
This paid, 40-hour per week internship offers a hands-on preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work directly with store managers and team members to understand retail business operations. Throughout the summer, you will spend your time on the sales floor and in the backroom, learning how to lead teams, drive sales, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This program focuses on your professional development through mentorship, ongoing feedback, and exposure to multiple areas of the store.
What you'll do#
- Lead and align team members on daily business priorities.
- Partner with leadership to coach, train, and provide performance feedback to team members.
- Plan department workload on a monthly or quarterly basis to support business goals.
- Recruit, select, and manage hourly team members and leaders.
- Drive store performance by analyzing business reports and guest insights.
- Support daily operations, including stocking shelves and building displays.
- Engage with guests to solve needs and ensure a welcoming environment.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in retail management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to lift or move merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or Supply Chain Management.
