About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our regional distribution center in Madison, Alabama. This hands-on program provides a realistic preview of life as an Operations Manager. You will work closely with mentors and team members to understand supply chain operations, lead daily tasks, and develop your management skills.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the facilities floor to help lead team members and align on daily priorities.
- Maintain high standards for quality and inventory accuracy by standardizing processes.
- Run process improvement initiatives using methodologies like Gemba.
- Recruit and mentor team members to build a continuous improvement mindset.
- Conduct safety walks throughout the building to identify, resolve, and report findings.
- Track performance metrics such as safety, quality, and productivity to drive consistent results.
- Lead daily team meetings and present at planning sessions with leadership.
- Coach team members and provide feedback on performance and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Logistics.
- Experience in leadership roles through school or extracurricular activities.
- A strong interest in retail and supply chain facilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
