About the role#
This position is for an Intern Architect based in Calgary. You will work with a team to develop functional designs and manage technical details. The role involves a mix of design work, documentation, and project coordination. You will interact with clients, municipal authorities, and internal project teams to meet project objectives.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Senior Architects on creative and functional design projects.
- Develop solutions for technical and design challenges.
- Prepare and present design concepts and drawings.
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into project plans.
- Produce technical drawings and construction documents using Revit.
- Write reports and prepare estimates or calculations for project coordination.
- Manage contract administration tasks and conduct site visits.
- Review project costs, budgets, and schedules.
- Participate in team and client meetings to resolve coordination or technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Between 1 and 8 years of experience as an intern architect.
- Eligibility for registration with the AAA, or current registration.
- At least 3 years of working knowledge of Canadian building codes.
- Proven experience using Revit.
- A history of working on projects across different sectors.
- Strong communication skills and an outgoing personality.
- Ability to meet deadlines and plan ahead.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a motivated approach to career growth.
