About the role#
Talcott Financial Group is seeking an Investment Management Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in our New York office. You will work on a hybrid schedule, assisting the team with the implementation, monitoring, and analysis of investment strategies.
What you'll do#
- Aggregate and review investment data to support portfolio analysis and positioning.
- Monitor credit quality and compile data against risk tolerances and established limits.
- Evaluate new investment opportunities and relative value across asset classes.
- Identify and quantify emerging credit risks within the General Account.
- Prepare investment presentations and reporting materials for senior management.
- Support underwriting and surveillance activities for the Private Credit and Private Equity Alternatives portfolio.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior status pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better is preferred.
- Prior internship experience is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills and an understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently.
- General coding language experience is a plus.

- Compensation: $25 per hour.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
