About the role#
Talcott Financial Group is hiring for a Compliance Internship during the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in our Hartford, Connecticut office. You will work on a hybrid schedule while gaining exposure to how insurance, reinsurance, and annuity transactions function within regulatory frameworks.
What you'll do#
- Support initiatives to improve transaction readiness for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Help develop a diligence-ready posture through research outputs and risk summaries.
- Create reusable legal content optimized for technology-assisted use, such as issue briefs and checklists.
- Provide input for controls related to AI-assisted work, including documentation standards and validation processes.
- Assist in implementing practical AI governance practices to ensure the accuracy of workflows.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a current college student, preferably in a business-related curriculum.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in research, writing, and analytical tasks.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to summarize insurance concepts accurately.
- Comfort working with emerging technologies and navigating ambiguity.
- Solid proficiency in MS Office and related software.
- An interest in legal innovation, AI-enabled research tools, corporate growth, or regulated financial services.
