About the role#
Taft College is hiring a Student Worker for the TIL program. This role supports staff and students within the Center for Independent Living. You will help students follow their Individualized Person Centered Plans and navigate campus resources.
What you'll do#
- Assist TIL staff with program implementation and student support.
- Handle food service tasks including preparation, serving, dishwashing, and cleaning tables.
- Perform grounds maintenance such as raking, sweeping, and garbage collection.
- Manage facility cleaning, including mopping floors, disinfecting bathrooms, and vacuuming.
- Support office operations by preparing mailings, using the shredder, and maintaining supplies.
- Perform technical tasks like cleaning computers, installing software, and managing ink cartridges.
- Maintain vehicles by cleaning their interior and exterior.
- Set up for special events as needed.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Punctuality for all assigned shifts and tasks.
- Experience working with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
