About the role#
Syngenta is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Co-op based in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. This full-time position runs from Summer 2027 through Spring 2028. You will work within a chemical facility, supporting the maintenance team on real-world engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform equipment studies to support reliability engineering.
- Create sketches and part drawings for fabrication.
- Apply engineering principles to develop testing and feasibility studies.
- Scope and execute small capital projects.
- Develop equipment repair procedures and check sheets.
- Assist Maintenance Engineers with their daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program with Junior class standing.
- Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5 overall and in your major.
- Completion of core engineering and science coursework through the Sophomore level.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
- Fluency in English.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
