About the role#
This full-time position supports the interventional pain management team at Florida Pain Institute. It is designed for individuals seeking clinical experience, including recent graduates and students in fields such as Biology, Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Kinesiology. You will work on-site in Melbourne, Florida, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
What you'll do#
You will assist providers with clinical tasks and manage patient workflows. Responsibilities include:
- Taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and performing patient intake.
- Preparing exam rooms and ensuring equipment is clean and stocked.
- Assisting during exams and procedures as directed by providers.
- Entering clinical documentation into EMR systems accurately and on time.
- Managing communication with pharmacies and coordinating patient care via phone, fax, and secure messaging.
- Tracking medical clearances, referrals, and lab results.
- Supporting both front and back office tasks to ensure team coverage.
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional standards.
