About the role#
SumiRiko Ohio, Inc. is hiring a Communications, Training, & HR Intern to work at our facility in Bluffton, Ohio. This part-time role offers hands-on experience in a professional Human Resources setting within the motor vehicle parts manufacturing industry. You will work 20-25 hours per week with some flexibility for your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Create and distribute associate communications, including newsletters, flyers, announcements, and digital screen content.
- Coordinate and prepare associate training programs, including scheduling sessions and maintaining training records.
- Design training materials such as presentations and handouts.
- Provide administrative support for daily HR activities and special projects.
- Organize associate engagement events and workplace initiatives.
- Maintain electronic and paper records while handling company information with confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing or have completed a degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Comfort working in both office and manufacturing settings.
- Experience with graphic-design platforms like Canva is helpful but not required.
