About the role#
This eight-week internship provides hands-on experience on a utility-scale solar construction site. You will work directly with Site Engineers and Assistant Project Managers, gaining exposure to field engineering, quality control, and project coordination. This is an on-site, field-based role focused on the construction lifecycle of multi-megawatt solar facilities.
What you'll do#
- Support site leadership during the construction of a multi-megawatt solar facility.
- Assist with interpreting civil, structural, and electrical plan sets.
- Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) inspections using digital checklists.
- Support daily progress reporting, RFIs, and submittals.
- Participate in daily tailgate safety meetings and Job Hazard Analysis reviews.
- Identify a site-level process improvement or safety opportunity and deliver a final presentation to site leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Interest in renewable energy and large-scale construction.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a field environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Procore is a plus.
