About the role#
We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op to support our product development team. This role focuses on battery stack development and offers hands-on experience in our Billerica facility. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to projects from concept through testing. This is a full-time, paid position covering the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Support product development, including concept generation and testing.
- Conduct hands-on testing in the electrochemical lab and on the shop floor.
- Design and model stack parts, subassemblies, and GD&T within SolidWorks.
- Perform preliminary structural analysis using SolidWorks.
- Handle assembly, testing, debugging, and documentation for mechanical fixtures and devices.
- Operate pilot-scale equipment and machinery.
- Perform data collection and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to lift 30-pound boxes of parts.
- Willingness to work with battery electrolyte, which requires wearing PPE such as lab coats, gloves, and safety goggles.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Reliable personal transportation to our Billerica office.

- Compensation: $25 per hour.
