About the role#
StepStone Group is seeking undergraduate students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 for the Real Estate Investment & Advisory Summer Analyst program. This internship provides exposure to a wide range of property types, markets, and capital structures through the analysis of opportunistic, value-add, core, and credit funds. Analysts gain experience with various real estate private equity funds and investment strategies while working alongside the investment team.
What you'll do#
- Underwrite and assess prospective fund manager materials to identify value drivers and areas for further analysis.
- Participate in the underwriting and due diligence process for GP-led secondary and co-investment transactions, including financial modeling, market research, and document review.
- Conduct market research using public sources and proprietary databases to analyze macroeconomic trends across property types.
- Participate in meetings with potential partners and fund managers to support investment and advisory due diligence.
- Support full-time staff with asset and portfolio management of existing real estate holdings and the management of incoming investment opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate student status with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative and modeling skills.
- Ability to work legally in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Academic background in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or Accounting.
