About the role#
This internship provides a mix of office-based engineering and hands-on industrial experience. You will work directly with operators and maintenance teams on the production floor. This role is based at a continuous galvanizing line in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct and analyze mill experiments on the galvanizing line.
- Use laboratory equipment for process analysis.
- Perform data analysis and report trends to operation personnel.
- Develop trials based on research and operational needs.
- Contribute to strip inspection activities, data collection, and reporting of results.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A GPA of at least 2.7 is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
