Stevens Institute of Technology Co-op: Electrical Engineering/Electro-Optics

About the role#

This co-op position at SRI International's Center for Advanced Imaging supports the development of imaging products for commercial spectroscopy and space-qualified focal planes. You will work on-site in Princeton, New Jersey, gaining hands-on experience with CCD and CMOS imaging sensors and electro-optic test equipment.

What you'll do#

• Configure and operate laboratory equipment to measure the electro-optic performance of cameras and sensors.
• Document detailed test procedures.
• Develop simple Labview control programs.
• Compile and organize test data for technical review.
• Gain exposure to CCD and CMOS imaging sensor technologies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment at Stevens Institute of Technology pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering.
• Familiarity with standard test equipment, including oscilloscopes and function generators.
• Prior experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Strong PC skills.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Desired: Knowledge of imager characterization, electro-optic principles, Labview, or MATLAB.
