About the role#
SRI is seeking a Drexel University co-op student to join the Center for Advanced Imaging Embedded Software Team. This role focuses on the development of custom image sensor devices, modules, and systems for commercial, spacecraft, and government applications, including high-speed cameras for LiDAR, low light imaging, and space-based imagers.
What you'll do#
- Perform full stack development for web servers.
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software.
- Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Drexel University majoring in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in programming with React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with embedded systems, such as microcontrollers or ARM architectures.
- Familiarity with software configuration management, IDEs, bug tracking, and code revision tools like GitLab or Git.
- Due to government contract requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
