About the role#
This co-op position at SRI International focuses on the electro-optic performance testing of cameras and sensors. You will work within the Center for Advanced Imaging, which develops imaging products ranging from commercial spectroscopy to space-qualified focal planes for remote sensing applications.
What you'll do#
- Configure and operate laboratory equipment to measure the electro-optic performance of sensors and cameras.
- Write simple Labview control programs to support testing.
- Document test procedures and compile data for review.
- Gain experience with CCD and CMOS imaging sensors.
- Familiarize yourself with electro-optic test equipment and imager characterization tests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, available for the Fall 2026 co-op cycle.
- Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with common test equipment, including oscilloscopes and function generators.
- US citizenship is required due to government requirements.
- Proficiency with PC skills; knowledge of Labview, MATLAB, and electro-optic principles is preferred.
