About the role#
SRI is seeking a Drexel University co-op student to join the Center for Advanced Imaging Embedded Software Team. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary group to develop custom image sensor devices and systems, including high-speed cameras for LiDAR, space-based imagers, and low-light imaging applications.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems.
- Develop, code, test, and debug system software.
- Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Drexel University as a student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- US citizenship, required due to government contract stipulations.
- Programming experience in C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with embedded systems, such as microcontrollers or ARM architectures.
- Familiarity with software configuration management, IDEs, bug tracking, and code revision tools like Git or GitLab.
- Desired: Experience with I2C, SPI, or UART, and experience with laboratory automation or analysis tools.
