About the role#
As a Field Engineer Intern at SPC Construction, you will apply your academic training in a real-world setting. You will work alongside project managers and engineers at our job sites. This role involves performing engineering tasks while supporting our corporate policies and project goals.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate field conditions and perform acceptance testing.
- Support quality assurance and quality control for engineering materials.
- Assist with project layout and check work against plans and specifications using survey knowledge.
- Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
- Manage document control for correspondence, submittals, and design releases.
- Initiate engineering design clarifications and respond to field inquiries.
- Track quantities and analyze productivity to improve operational efficiency.
- Help prepare and update project schedules.
- Manage subcontractor field operations and verify contract payments.
- Provide design assistance for temporary structures using computer aided design tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Construction Management, or similar program at an accredited technical college or university.
- A working knowledge of project plans, specifications, cost codes, and construction schedules.

- Employment: Full-time, paid position with a pay range of $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.
