About the role#
This internship is part of the Service Modernization effort within our Day Of Travel Team. You will help reduce costs and remove friction from airport lobby and gate areas by designing digital self-service tools. Your work will span across native apps, desktop, mobile web, and kiosks to improve the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Design user experiences for both external and internal digital platforms.
- Generate and refine concepts alongside stakeholders and project team members.
- Construct hypotheses and develop information structures, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Create stimuli for usability studies and partner with the User Research Team to test designs with customers.
- Research current trends in information architecture, accessibility, and web design.
- Communicate design interactions and present your work with confidence.
- Collaborate with your leader to set priorities and build a personal development plan.
- Complete a capstone project and presentation for relevant stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Human and Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Service Design, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- A valid U.S. Social Security Number and authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in wireframing, visual design, and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of JIRA, Trello, project management methodologies, and working with development teams.
- Preferred: Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Preferred: At least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
Location & details#
- This is a 12-week, full-time internship running from May 18 to August 8, 2027.
- You will work 40 hours per week, with a maximum of 8 hours per day.
- The role is strictly on-site at our Dallas, Texas headquarters.
- Pay is $21 to $24 per hour, depending on your degree progress.
- Interns receive free, space-available travel privileges.
