About the role#
Southern Champion Tray is looking for an accounting intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. This role focuses on supporting the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing and vendor reconciliations. You will also gain exposure to general ledger accounting and month-end close activities to build experience in a corporate environment.
What you'll do#
- Process vendor invoices while ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve outstanding issues.
- Maintain AP records and ensure documentation is complete.
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations.
- Analyze expense account variances and prepare supporting schedules.
- Organize and retrieve financial records to support audits.
- Complete special projects involving research or data analysis based on your skills and interests.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- This position is located on-site in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
