About the role#
Sorting Robotics offers a 6-month Co-Op internship for students interested in industrial automation. You will work on-site in Los Angeles to build robotic systems for the legal cannabis market. This role is paid at $25 per hour and includes free lunches. We are looking for people who are comfortable working directly with cannabis.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, testing, and development of new robotic systems.
- Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot and improve existing technology.
- Help assemble and integrate prototypes.
- Collect and analyze data to improve robot performance.
- Document your experiments and results for project reports.
- Join team meetings to share insights and discuss project progress.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of robotic systems and programming languages like Python or C++.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You communicate well and work effectively in a team.
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
