About the role#
Lanco Integrated is looking for a Controls Programming (PLC) Intern to join our team in Westbrook, Maine. This is an on-site, full-time internship. You will work with our staff to help develop and test custom automation equipment.
What you'll do#
- Write and debug PLC code based on project requirements or instructions.
- Create and update graphic user interfaces.
- Verify machine sequences and operations with mechanical technicians and engineers before programming begins.
- Test switches on cylinders, actuators, and other hardware to ensure they function correctly.
- Assist electrical and mechanical technicians to keep machines running to design specifications.
- Follow ISO procedures and keep your workspace clean and organized.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior academic standing.
- Familiarity with PLC networks, communications, and device interfacing.
- Understanding of basic electrical concepts, including AC and DC circuits, PNP and NPN switches, E-Stop circuits, and servo or stepper motor functions.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and technical documentation.

- Schedule: Generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
