About the role#
Lanco Integrated is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team in Westbrook, Maine. This is an on-site position where you will work with our staff to support the development of custom automation equipment. You will assist with technical documentation, design tasks, and the machine build process.
What you'll do#
- Design basic automated assembly stations and make minor changes to existing designs.
- Create mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and BOM change documentation.
- Estimate station cycle times and review technical or budgetary details with Project Engineers.
- Support the machine build process from purchasing through assembly and debug phases.
- Coordinate with vendors and assist with Requests for Quotation.
- Update machine manuals and assist Customer Service with Field Engineering support.
- Participate in internal reviews and assist the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering program, specifically Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- Interest in manufacturing and automation design.
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience using 3D CAD software.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical engineering computations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
