About the role#
Solvita is hiring an intern to assist with research and development projects. You will work on process engineering and development tasks related to allograft recovery, processing, and new product development. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Kettering, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze data using statistical tools.
- Support the transition of new or improved processes into production.
- Prepare reports and manuscripts for internal or external review.
- Assist with surgical procedures for pre-clinical research projects.
- Ensure work complies with regulatory authorities.
- Recommend and help update work instructions, job aids, and policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma and current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program or higher in engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze technical problems and provide recommendations.
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to document work accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships.
- Exposure to gross anatomy and the ability to meet physical demands.
It is helpful if you have experience with biomechanical testing of musculoskeletal tissue, cell or tissue culture, histology, or biochemical assays. We also value experience with aseptic techniques, human anatomy, and working in a regulated industry.
