About the role#
This internship focuses on the strategic and analytical side of culinary operations at Hard Rock Stadium. You will work alongside the Executive Culinary Team to support planning for major events and activations. The role involves culinary research, development, project planning, and administrative tasks. You will learn how to scale menu concepts for large crowds while managing the logistics behind high-volume food service.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with chefs and leadership to conduct culinary R&D for new menu items.
- Create, update, and audit recipe cost cards and build sheets.
- Assist in developing specialty menus, tastings, and concept decks for premium and general concessions.
- Participate in cross-functional planning meetings for upcoming large-scale events.
- Support the documentation of culinary SOPs, food safety protocols, and vendor relations.
- Assist with event logistics, production plans, and kitchen layouts.
- Present research findings and culinary concepts to internal and client stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Culinary Science, Hospitality, or Food Systems program.
- Strong interest in research and development, culinary innovation, and operational planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and professional presence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with food costing, recipe development, or culinary analytics is a plus.
- Knowledge of recipe software is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Miami Gardens, Florida.
- Commitment: Fall 2025 season (August through December).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate kitchen environments, work in temperature extremes, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Schedule: Must be able to work extended hours during major events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
