About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to join our team in the Pittsburgh West region. This role involves coaching children and supporting our programming operations. You will work 10 to 15 hours per week on a schedule tailored to your availability. This position is on-site and requires consistent weekly availability for the duration of each 8 to 11 week season.
What you'll do#
- Lead Soccer Shots sessions and run demo classes at new or prospective locations.
- Support the Director of Coaching and Coaching Coordinator with staff evaluations, reviews, and training.
- Assist with preparations for seasonal coach training meetings.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the curriculum and provide feedback on lesson plans.
- Represent Soccer Shots Pittsburgh at community events like open houses and back to school nights.
- Assist with seasonal marketing efforts, including the distribution of flyers and yard signs.
What you'll need#
- A reliable personal vehicle for transportation to locations throughout the area.
- A personal laptop with reliable internet access.
- A personality that is reliable, personable, communicative, and engaging.
- The ability to be motivated, organized, and self-regulating while working with minimal in-person oversight.

- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: Paid coaching sessions, with non-coaching duties being unpaid. Academic credit may be available if your school requirements are met.
