About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to help us impact children through soccer. You will work in various locations across the Pittsburgh area, including Schenley Park, Frick Park, and surrounding suburbs. This is a part-time, paid position with a flexible schedule ranging from 10 to 15 hours per week. We operate year-round, and you must maintain consistent availability for the duration of an 8 to 11-week season.
What you'll do#
- Coach a set number of Soccer Shots sessions each week.
- Run demo sessions at new and prospective locations.
- Support the Director of Coaching and Coaching Coordinator with staff evaluations and training.
- Assist with preparations for seasonal coach training meetings.
- Review our curriculum and provide feedback on lesson plans.
- Represent Soccer Shots Pittsburgh at community events.
- Help with seasonal marketing tasks, such as distributing flyers and yard signs.
What you'll need#
- You are reliable, personable, communicative, and engaging.
- You have your own reliable, personal vehicle for transportation to various locations.
- You have a laptop with reliable internet access.
