About the role#
This is a full-time internship for the Winter to Spring 2026 term, running from January through June. You will work on-site in Woburn, Massachusetts, from 8 AM to 5 PM. You will gain exposure to product design, manufacturing, and field service while owning projects from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the engineering and service of solar systems.
- Develop, test, and deploy firmware solutions to improve product reliability, performance, and serviceability.
- Collaborate with the technical team and external contractors to develop and validate software solutions.
- Validate new features before they are released.
- Monitor fleet performance to identify field issues and manage their resolution.
- Support firmware release processes, including version control, documentation, and OTA update management.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, Robotics, or a related engineering field.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- A portfolio of previous work that demonstrates experience with embedded systems.
- A hands-on approach and a genuine interest in hardware products.
- Ability to work independently, manage your time, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude.
