About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our project team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site, assisting both supervisory and project management staff with daily operations. This role provides hands-on experience, mentorship from professionals, and the chance to contribute to active construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily journal entries and record site meeting minutes.
- Issue purchase orders for material suppliers and track equipment rentals.
- Assist with quantity take-offs, drawing distribution, and maintaining records of consultant revision notices.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination on the jobsite.
- Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and internal departments.
- Track concrete and rebar counts.
- Distribute deficiency lists to trades and oversee their completion.
- Assist site management with administrative tasks and file organization.
- Participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution with a focus on Construction Management or a related field.
- Strong writing, communication, and computer skills.
- A sense of urgency and the ability to take initiative.
- High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to perform in a construction environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Winter 2027 (September to December).
- Commitment: Full-time, 44 hours per week with the possibility of weekend work based on operational needs.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $28.50 per hour, depending on experience and previous co-op terms.
- Travel to and from job sites is required.
