About the role#
Sixtyfour builds AI agents that research the open web to verify information about people and companies. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will build the agents that gather evidence, design the systems that run them at scale, and contribute to the product used to view results. We prioritize deep understanding and system design before writing code, and we expect our engineers to own their work from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Build AI agents for OSINT and deep web research.
- Design systems that hold up at scale by considering data volume, concurrency, latency, and cost.
- Ship features end to end, including design, build, test, and deployment phases.
- Write evals and tests to prove model or agent changes improve results.
- Make long-running jobs fast and reliable using batching, caching, retries, and orchestration.
What you'll need#
- Strong engineering fundamentals with an understanding of how systems, APIs, and databases work.
- System-design and architecture instinct to break down problems and identify failure modes.
- You think at scale by default and can point to experience working with large systems.
- Genuine curiosity about LLMs and agents.
- You move fast and own your work.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Cybersecurity.
Location & details#
- Location: San Francisco, California, USA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Employment: Full-time.
- Compensation: $6,000 to $10,000 per month.
- Sponsorship: Available.
