About the role#
As an IT Intern at Silvi Materials, you will work directly with our IT Director during a 10 to 12 week summer program. You will gain hands-on experience in the construction materials industry by supporting our internal technical operations in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Record and manage all reported incidents using our service desk tool.
- Categorize and prioritize incidents based on their impact and severity.
- Perform initial analysis and troubleshooting to find the root cause of technical issues.
- Escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams for resolution.
- Keep incident tickets updated with accurate documentation of all actions taken.
- Assist with daily tasks including software installations, hardware maintenance, and user account management.
- Participate in knowledge sharing to help improve our internal processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in an IT help desk or similar capacity.
- Familiarity with service desk software or incident management systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365 products like SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to solve problems and think analytically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach to your work.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

- Location: Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform movements like kneeling, bending, or crouching as needed for hardware maintenance.
