About the role#
This Systems Security Engineer Internship is a summer program designed to provide hands-on experience within the aerospace and defense sector. You will work alongside industry experts on real projects, receive mentorship, and attend professional workshops to build your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on technical work and contribute to team objectives.
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical data.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
- Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Collaborate with team members to learn from their expertise.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Participate in company workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a college or technical school.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- At least 6 months remaining until graduation following the internship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access.
- Strong organization skills, a solid work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
