About the role#
Sidara is seeking a Water Engineering Designer intern to join the team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on various vertical and linear infrastructure projects, including reservoirs, pump stations, treatment facilities, and water distribution systems. This role provides hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary designs for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Perform technical calculations and analysis.
- Assist with project scheduling and monitoring.
- Help secure necessary permits and approvals for construction.
- Work alongside engineers, drafters, and support staff.
- Participate in site visits and inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current 3rd year standing in an accredited Civil Engineering program or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with engineering software, specifically AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS is an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to integrity and continuous learning.
