About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Los Angeles for the Summer of 2027. You will join the structural engineering team to work on vertical structures, including new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation projects. This role operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from conceptual stages through construction.
- Perform field reviews for projects currently under construction.
- Visit existing buildings to document current conditions.
- Become familiar with engineering plans and technical details.
- Assist the team with computer modeling and hand calculations.
What you'll need#
- Current 3rd year standing as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
- Completion of at least one steel or concrete design class.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and engineering software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team.
- A commitment to integrity, innovation, and continuous learning.
