About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Calgary office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work on structural engineering services for vertical structures, including new construction, renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation projects. This role is hybrid.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team in preparing structural designs and drawings for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings from conceptual stages through construction.
- Perform field reviews for projects under construction.
- Visit existing buildings to document current conditions.
- Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
- Assist with computer modeling and hand calculations.
What you'll need#
- Current 3rd year undergraduate or graduate student standing in an accredited Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
- Completion of steel and concrete design classes.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and engineering software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Commitment to integrity, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Familiarity with REVIT Structure is beneficial.
- Previous co-op or internship experience related to commercial, institutional, or residential buildings is preferred.
