About the role#
Senesco Marine offers internship opportunities for students looking for hands-on experience in a working shipyard and manufacturing environment. You will support real business projects across engineering, planning, production, supply chain, quality, IT, and finance. Assignments are based on your education, interests, and current business needs.
What you'll do#
- Support projects that address real business needs under the direction of a supervisor.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and report information to support project decisions and process improvements.
- Assist with tasks such as engineering drawing tracking, project schedules, labor reporting, material readiness, inventory analysis, and workflow automation.
- Work across both office and production functions.
- Communicate your findings clearly to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete assignments accurately, maintain organized records, and follow through on agreed actions and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of an Engineering, Business, IT, or relevant degree.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Willingness to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate with different departments.
- Ability to organize information and work effectively with office and production personnel.
- Comfort using technology and an interest in identifying better ways to perform work.
- Ability to understand an existing process before recommending changes.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, or Smartsheet is helpful.
- Correctable vision to 20/40 and the ability to pass the Ishihara test for color blindness.
- Ability to read and understand safety symbols and colors.
- Physical capability to stand, sit, walk, squat, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs or a ladder.
- Good balance and the ability to stand on each foot for 30 seconds or more.
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment, such as a respirator, hardhat, safety goggles, or steel-toe shoes.
