About the role#
SeamonWhiteside is hiring two Civil Engineering Interns for our Columbia, South Carolina office. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
You will work on land development projects and support our design teams. Your daily tasks include:
- Using AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft designs.
- Supporting the design of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility systems, and roadways.
- Preparing engineering plans and managing project redlines or revisions.
- Helping assemble permit and submittal packages for clients and agencies.
- Attending project meetings and collaborating with engineering staff and project managers.
- Visiting job sites with the Construction Administration team to observe progress.
What you'll need#
- You must have completed your sophomore year by Summer 2027.
- You must be a declared major in Civil Engineering or a related field.
