About the role#
The Financial Analyst Co-op joins the Rates & Regulatory practice to support the Regulatory Cost of Capital team. This role involves analyzing financial and economic data to assist with utility-focused initiatives and regulatory filings. You will work on a variety of projects for multiple clients, gaining exposure to finance, risk assessment, and industry-specific issues.
What you'll do#
- Develop and update financial models and economic analyses using Excel.
- Obtain and organize data to support financial models on a bi-monthly basis.
- Conduct research on topics including regulatory precedent, utility risk factors, and economic trends.
- Create slide decks for presentations to the Rates & Regulatory practice.
- Audit analyses and expert testimony to ensure accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for finance, managerial or cost accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple competing projects with strong attention to detail.
- Interest in energy, utilities, or policy is an asset.

- Location: Framingham, Massachusetts.
- Modality: Hybrid, with 1 to 2 days per week required in the office.
- Employment type: Full-time, paid co-op position.
