About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will gain technical experience that goes beyond the classroom. You will work alongside engineer mentors within our design team to apply your textbook knowledge to real engineering challenges. This role involves participating in various projects and learning how to develop a complete design package.
What you'll do#
- Work with engineer mentors in the design team.
- Take ownership of specific portions of various projects.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Learn the process of developing a complete design package.
- Apply engineering concepts to solve real-world challenges.
- Participate in demanding engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program at a four-year ABET university or college.
- Graduation within 1 year is preferred, though we will consider students graduating within 2 years.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage work and academic responsibilities at the same time.
