About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Salas O'Brien, you will gain hands-on technical experience beyond the classroom. You will work alongside experienced engineers to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects and learn how to develop complete design packages.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineer mentors within the design team.
- Take ownership of specific portions of various projects.
- Coordinate your work with other engineering disciplines.
- Apply core engineering concepts to project challenges.
- Develop skills in time management, communication, and CAD drafting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program at a four-year ABET university or college.
- A targeted graduation date within one year is preferred, though students graduating within two years may be considered.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills to manage work and academic responsibilities effectively.
