About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on technical experience by working alongside experienced professionals on real-world engineering projects. This role involves applying academic knowledge to solve practical challenges within the design services industry.
What you'll do#
- Support facility condition assessments for federal government infrastructure systems.
- Assist in the development of electrical power designs for construction projects.
- Analyze various facility systems and equipment.
- Perform 2D and 3D drafting tasks using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop construction cost estimates.
- Support power system studies, including short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash analyses.
- Write technical reports and populate cloud-based databases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program at a four-year ABET-accredited university or college.
- Preferred graduation date within one to two years.
- Ability to work part-time, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Reliable transportation.
- Verification of US citizenship is required due to Federal contract compliance.
