About the role#
The MES Proposal Analyst (Co-op) works on updating specification documents for medium voltage metal-enclosed switchgear. You will support power utility customers in Canada and the US. Experienced engineers will provide training throughout your term to help you succeed in this role.
What you'll do#
- Develop basic electrical and mechanical design knowledge of metal-enclosed switchgear.
- Review power utility conditions of service documents for assigned territories.
- Prepare summary specification documents for utilities and major customers.
- Assist with reviewing and preparing proposal documents for medium voltage metal-enclosed switchgear.
- Job-shadow engineering team members in multiple departments to understand work process flows.
- Perform additional duties to assist the engineering team as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Electrical Engineering.
- Availability for a 12 month co-op work term beginning in Winter 2027.
- Knowledge of the basics of power system protection and control.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software, specifically Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Aptitude for learning company-specific software.
