About the role#
The Technical Sales Associate (Co-op) supports the quotation, order write-up, and application of S&C products. You will act as a main point of contact for customers and assist team members with product knowledge, production processes, and departmental procedures. This role provides hands-on experience in a safety-focused environment.
What you'll do#
- Respond to internal clients via telephone, written communication, or in person.
- Perform basic electrical and protection engineering calculations, including fuse curve coordination and available fault current analysis.
- Learn to recommend protection for substation transformers, feeders, and busses.
- Collaborate on high-voltage protection projects.
- Develop single line diagrams for industrial and electrical utility customers.
- Summarize system protection specifications and apply S&C protection devices.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary Electrical Engineering degree program.
- Registration in an eligible co-op program.
- Availability for a 4-month work term starting in Winter 2027.
- Knowledge of basic engineering concepts and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand electric schematic drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Location & details#
- Location: Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
- Compensation: $22.70 - $36.40 per hour, based on year of study, academic program, and prior co-op experience.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
