About the role#
The Electrical Engineering Design Support student will join our team to assist with MV Switchgear design and Protection and Control system design. You will work on projects that support our operations while gaining hands-on experience in a safety-focused environment. This is a paid, full-time co-op position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Upgrade and maintain process software used for MES design and production control, utilizing Visual Basic.
- Assist the engineering team with the preparation of drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Support the design of MV Switchgear and Protection and Control systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary degree program for Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Eligibility for a 4-month co-op term starting in Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Programming skills in Visual Basic or C++.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn company-specific software.
Location & details#
- Location: Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).
- Term: Winter 2027 (January - April).
- Compensation: $22.70 - $36.40 per hour, based on year of study, academic program, and prior co-op experience.
