About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will work alongside tax experts to identify tax savings for large-scale clients. This role focuses on international, federal, state, and local taxation.
What you'll do#
- Provide client service to multi-state companies to identify tax savings.
- Assist with tax controversies by preparing clients for auditor discussions.
- Represent clients at hearings and appeal meetings.
- Prepare protests and draft technical memoranda.
- Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Review documentation and research tax issues.
- Process raw data to complete detailed calculations.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Anticipated graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum 2.8 overall and major GPA.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and work on multiple assignments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
