About the role#
Russell is hiring Construction Project Interns for Summer 2027. You will join project teams to gain hands-on experience with commercial construction, from preconstruction through closeout. You will work directly with a Project Manager or Superintendent and take on real responsibilities on an active jobsite.
What you'll do#
- Support Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, and change orders in Procore.
- Assist with scheduling coordination and subcontractor communication.
- Participate in jobsite walks, safety meetings, inspections, quality control, and progress documentation.
- Track project progress and organize project files, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Compile punchlists and close out documentation.
- Shadow estimating and preconstruction on active pursuits, including gathering information for estimates, proposals, drawings, and takeoffs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- This is an on-site internship based in Davenport, Iowa.
- The position is for Summer 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
