About the role#
Russell is hiring Construction Project Interns for Summer 2027. This role provides hands-on experience with commercial construction, covering the process from preconstruction to project closeout. You will work alongside Project Managers and Superintendents, taking on real responsibilities and contributing directly to active jobsites.
What you'll do#
- Support Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, and change orders using Procore.
- Assist with scheduling coordination and communicate with subcontractors.
- Participate in jobsite walks, safety meetings, inspections, quality control, and progress documentation.
- Track project progress and organize project files, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Compile punchlists and close out documentation.
- Shadow estimating and preconstruction tasks, including gathering information for estimates, proposals, drawings, and takeoffs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
