About the role#
Russell is hiring Construction Project Interns for Summer 2027. You will work on project teams to gain hands-on experience with commercial construction. You will be paired with a Project Manager or Superintendent to handle real responsibilities on an active jobsite. This role includes direct mentorship and the opportunity to contribute to team meetings.
What you'll do#
- Support Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Assist with scheduling and communicate with subcontractors.
- Participate in jobsite walks, safety meetings, and inspections.
- Perform quality control and document project progress.
- Organize project files, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Compile punchlists and close out documentation.
- Shadow estimating and preconstruction tasks, including gathering information for drawings, takeoffs, and proposals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.
- Eagerness to learn about the construction industry.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
